P.V. Sindhu (Pusarla Venkata Sindhu) is a professional badminton player who plays for India in international tournaments.
She was born on the 5th July 1995. She was born into a Telugu family. P.V. Sindhu was inspired to pursue a career in sports when she was eight years old.
Pullela Gopichand, who had just won the English Open badminton championship in 2001, had inspired her to play badminton.
P.V. Ramana and P. Vijaya, his parents, are volleyball players. The Arjuna Award was also given to P.V. Sindhu's father, P.V. Ramana, for his sporting achievements
Later, he became P.V. Sindhu's coach and devoted the most of his time to Sindhu. She first went to coach Mehboob Ali.

PV Sindhu: Birth, Life and Education
PV Sindhu was born in Hyderabad on July 5, 1995, to PV Ramana (father) and P Vijaya (Mother).
Her parents have both competed at the national level in volleyball. Sindhu's father was a member of the 1986 Asian Games bronze medalist squad in Seoul.
In the year 2000, her father received the Arjuna Award for his contribution to sports.

PV Sindhu's Career in Badminton
Sindhu began playing badminton at the age of eight. She began learning the basics of badminton at the Indian Railway Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications in Secunderabad,
where she was coached by Mehboob Ali. Every day, she traveled 56 kilometres from her home to the badminton courts to start practicing the sport.
PV Sindhu joined the Gopichand Badminton Academy and won a number of titles in the 10-year category.

She won the 5th Servo All India ranking championship in the doubles and singles categories at the Ambuja Cement All India ranking.
Sindhu won the Sub-juniors in Pondicherry, the Krishna Khaitan All India Tournament, the IOC All India Ranking, the Sub-Junior Nationals, and the All India Ranking in Pune in the under 13-years category.
She earned a gold medal in the under 14-years category in India's 51st National State Games. PV Sindhu started playing internationally at the age of 14.
At the 2009 Sub-Junior Asian Badminton Championships in Colombo, she bagged a bronze medal.
Sindhu won silver in the Iran Fajr International Badminton Challenge in 2010. She went to the quarterfinals of the 2010 BWF World Junior Championships in Mexico, where she was defeated by a Chinese opponent.
Sindhu won both the Maldives International Challenge and the Indonesia International Challenge in 2011. She reached the finals of the Dutch Open but lost the game.
Sindhu defeated Carola Bott in the Swiss International Finals. In 2011, she won the India International badminton tournament.
